There were red eyes surrounding me.
They were married and it was so incredibly happy
That it made everyone cry.
We wondered at our tears because,
“She’s just our friend.”
But life is moving on:
No more spendovers in the basement,
No more walking Melissa to the bathroom in the middle of the night,
No more setting up a house with the blue mats,
No more arguing over which doll we got,
No more renting pencils from her vast store,
No more playing Pocahantas in the backyard,
No more “Love in this Club,”
No more attending EFY and getting spiritually high,
No more lying out on the pavement (“bachelor”),
No more 7 Peaks swim lessons,
No more ballet together,
No more swinging from the tree,
No more MK&A nights,
No more Limited Too and Claire’s shopping,
No more long-sleeve shirts and shorts,
No more using her for her house,
No more playing the violin together,
No more discussing crushes,
No more inviting boys over, holding hands in the basement,
No more measuring butter and cutting bread wrong,
No more “St. George fun you know have b good night,”
No more sitting in the sauna in PC,
No more IMing with screename: ****!!!!!!<3>happiest day.

I am crying. I am crying.
I remember every one of these times. We'll still be friends with her, okay?
Plus we still have each other.
PS BLOG = ME!
I don't think I ever had that screen name on MSN messenger before, but the rest is true.
Wow. I feel so grown up!
And this beautiful blog post nearly brought me to tears.
I can't wait for yours and Tals and Melissa's big days (oh wait--Melissa's is in like 4 months).
The happiness never ends... thankfully.
Just changes.
And besto time will ALWAYS happen. Of course.
I've never been so honored to be featured on a blog... in fact, this might be my first time.
Love it. Thank you JBod. Love you always, sister. (I liked that. It is the truth. We're like four sisters and it should stay that way). The end.
This is the sweetest thing, and I easily relate to the whole best friend/more actually like a sister who gets married...
Surprisingly, even though a lot changes, friendships remain the same, and only get stronger :)
i really liked this bod. but kelsie is right, some friendships do get better. funny how that works.
